Album Notes & Community Reviews

Solidifying his status as a premier architect of the West Coast sound, the Compton rapper-producer delivered a sonically rich sophomore effort. 'Way 2 Fonky' showcases his incredibly smooth, sample-heavy production style paired with rapid, unapologetic street narratives and party anthems. The project was instrumental in shaping the laid-back, groove-laden G-Funk aesthetic that would dominate the decade.
