Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded partially in the United States and notably featuring a harmonica solo by Stevie Wonder on 'Samurai,' 'Luz' is a triumph of sophisticated Brazilian pop. Djavan effortlessly bridges traditional samba grooves with slick, jazz-inflected soul, establishing himself as an international ambassador for modern MPB.
