A Umbra Omega

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning after an eight-year absence, the avant-metal visionaries deliver an exhaustingly complex, theatrical descent into madness. The staggering compositions frequently surpass the ten-minute mark, abandoning traditional black metal structures for disjointed jazz-inflected interludes, chaotic time signatures, and unhinged vocal performances by Aldrahn. It is widely considered one of the most impenetrable and rewarding works in their boundary-pushing catalog.
