Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking their first studio album since their contentious 1989 breakup, 'Dysfunctional' finds the classic Dokken lineup attempting to adapt their melodic 80s sound to the grunge-dominated 90s. The record noticeably down-tunes George Lynch's signature guitar work and incorporates significantly darker, alternative metal production elements while retaining Don Dokken's classic vocal hooks. Despite a strong initial release, internal tensions quickly led to another splintering of the band.
