Album Notes & Community Reviews

Surmounting intense interpersonal conflicts between vocalist Don Dokken and guitarist George Lynch, the band delivered a platinum-selling masterclass in melodic heavy metal. Lynch's fiery, highly technical fretwork provides a razor-sharp counterpoint to the massive, harmony-laden vocal hooks found on hits like 'Into the Fire'. The album firmly established the Los Angeles group at the forefront of the commercial hard rock explosion.
