Album Notes & Community Reviews

Striking a highly lucrative balance between aggressive riffing and soaring melodic hooks, this third studio album propelled the Los Angeles quartet to multi-platinum status. 'Under Lock and Key' is largely defined by the intense, combative creative friction between vocalist Don Dokken's smooth, harmonized melodies and guitarist George Lynch's blistering, shred-heavy solos. The meticulously crafted record stands as a definitive pillar of the mid-80s pop-metal explosion.
