Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded shortly after Abdullah Ibrahim's conversion to Islam, this profound duo performance pairs his majestic piano and vocal work with Johnny Dyani's deeply resonant acoustic bass. The incredibly intimate, spiritually charged recording reflects the longing of South African exiles while drawing heavily from their native Cape jazz traditions.
