Album Notes & Community Reviews

Credited with reinventing French chanson for the modern era, Dominique Ané's breakthrough debut is an intensely austere, lo-fi masterpiece. Self-recorded utilizing minimalist synthesizers and primitive drum machines, the cold, deeply introspective music radically stripped away traditional French pop orchestration in favor of sparse, emotional vulnerability.
