Album Notes & Community Reviews

'La m茅moire neuve' proved highly pivotal in redefining modern French pop music, actively merging the poetic traditions of classic chanson with the angular aesthetics of 90s indie rock. Dominique A's breakthrough relies on stark, highly intimate acoustic arrangements supported by subtle, often synthetic rhythm programming. The massive success of the single 'Le Twenty-Two Bar' cemented his status as a visionary force within the flourishing Nouvelle chanson movement.
