Album Notes & Community Reviews

Departing radically from his minimalist origins, the French singer-songwriter utilized a full backing band to construct tense, brooding, and occasionally abrasive rock arrangements. The anxious, heavily textured instrumentation sharply contrasts with his delicate vocal delivery, resulting in a dark, demanding milestone of modern French chanson.
