Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally self-released in a highly limited pressing, this minimalist debut radically stripped down the conventions of French chanson. Dominique A utilized cheap synthesizers and a four-track recorder to craft a lo-fi, deeply mechanical, and bittersweet atmosphere that spearheaded a new, avant-garde generation of French independent pop.
