Album Notes & Community Reviews

Relocating from the Pacific Northwest to Los Angeles, the former garage rockers enlisted the help of producer Jack Nitzsche to entirely revamp their sound. The resulting album is a masterclass in buoyant, heavily orchestrated sunshine pop, swapping out fuzz guitars for intricate string and horn arrangements perfectly suited to mid-60s AM radio. The stylistic pivot highlights the rapid evolution of pop sensibilities during the era.
