Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded live in France during 1971, this captivating album captures the pioneering trumpeter exploring a deeply pan-global aesthetic. Performing alongside South African bassist Johnny Dyani and Turkish percussionist Okay Temiz, the extended, hypnotic improvisations effectively dissolve the boundaries between American free jazz and traditional Eastern modalities.
