Eternal Rhythm

'Eternal Rhythm' documents Don Cherry's pivotal synthesis of avant-garde jazz with a vast array of global musical traditions, presented as one of the earliest major statements of multicultural fusion. The two-part suite, performed by a large international ensemble, abandons conventional jazz forms, instead building a new compositional language through an expansive instrumental palette that prominently features Indonesian gamelan, diverse flutes, and pan-global percussion alongside traditional jazz instrumentation.
