A landmark of the jazz duo format, this album captures the near-telepathic chemistry between free jazz pioneer Don Cherry and the brilliant drummer Ed Blackwell. The music is a vibrant and joyous collage of sound, weaving together short melodic fragments, folk tunes, and free-form improvisation.
