Album Notes & Community Reviews
Moving significantly away from the bouncy, upbeat novelty hits of her film career, the profoundly capable vocalist embraces a deeply romantic, late-night aesthetic. Arranged beautifully by Paul Weston, the lush, string-heavy orchestrations provide a delicate, highly sophisticated bed for her impeccable pitch and warm, unhurried phrasing. The exceptionally polished record cemented her status as one of the premier, most technically flawless interpreters of adult-contemporary ballads.
