Album Notes & Community Reviews
Venturing far beyond traditional jazz parameters, the harpist incorporated the Japanese koto and sweeping string arrangements to score the poetry of 11th-century Persian astronomer Omar Khayy谩m. The result is a profoundly unique, spiritual fusion of soul-jazz and ethereal exotica that has since become a heavily revered, frequently sampled treasure in hip-hop production.
