Album Notes & Community Reviews

Before achieving renown as an Academy Award-nominated lyricist, the multi-faceted artist presents a whimsical, highly eccentric collection of original vocal jazz and folk-adjacent narratives. Her theatrical, whimsical phrasing is backed by sophisticated small-group jazz arrangements that highlight her unique literary sensibility. The album remains a rare, highly charming artifact of mid-century bohemian cabaret.
