Recorded on Goree Island off the coast of Senegal, this album captures the astounding rhythmic complexity of master drummer Doudou N'Diaye Rose and his massive percussion ensemble. 'Djabote' is a purely acoustic, deeply hypnotic, and fiercely energetic display of traditional Sabar drumming.
