The Country Sect

Album Notes & Community Reviews

In an unusual and surprising stylistic pivot, the famously raucous British R&B group turns their attention toward American country and folk material for their second album. While still maintaining a slightly ragged, unpolished edge, 'The Country Sect' successfully integrates acoustic guitars, autoharps, and twangy vocal harmonies. The release stands as a fascinatingly early, somewhat abrasive UK foray into country-rock fusion.
