Blending absurdist humor with formidable technical chops, this Danish collective's debut is a wildly eclectic amalgamation of big band jazz-rock, psychedelic experimentation, and Frank Zappa-inspired satire. The sprawling arrangements incorporate a massive horn section and shifting, complex meters, often abruptly transitioning between intense improvisation and vaudevillian vocal antics. It serves as a prime example of the eccentric, boundary-pushing nature of the early 1970s Scandinavian progressive underground.
