Album Notes & Community Reviews

Transitioning away from his voodoo-psychedelic persona, Mac Rebennack delivers a sophisticated, jazz-inflected celebration of his native New Orleans R&B. Co-produced by Hugh McCracken and Tommy LiPuma, 'City Lights' boasts a polished, funky aesthetic, heavily featuring tight horn arrangements and slick studio musicianship.
