Album Notes & Community Reviews

Shedding his psychedelic voodoo persona, the iconic New Orleans pianist applies his gravelly, deeply soulful voice to the Great American Songbook. Earning a Grammy for a stellar duet with Rickie Lee Jones, the record is a masterful, understated celebration of classic jazz and blues standards.
