Album Notes & Community Reviews

Teaming up with producer Allen Toussaint and the phenomenal backing of The Meters, the eccentric musician fully leaned into an infectious, commercially viable brand of Louisiana funk. The sessions produced his biggest mainstream smash, 'Right Place, Wrong Time', shedding the darker voodoo mysticism of his earlier works.
