Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, 'Locked Down' captures the grit and swampy mysticism of Dr. John's early work. The production is raw and lo-fi, emphasizing the groove of the rhythm section and the bite of the brass. It is a late-career revitalization that bristles with voodoo funk and righteous anger.
