Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released as a surprise, 'Honestly, Nevermind' marked a significant stylistic departure for Drake, largely eschewing hip-hop in favor of dance and house music. Dedicated to the late designer Virgil Abloh, the album features production heavily influenced by deep house and Afro-house, creating a cohesive, club-oriented atmosphere. This pivot was met with a divisive response from audiences, who were largely expecting a more conventional rap and R&B project.
