Album Notes & Community Reviews

Drakeo the Ruler's official debut album arrived three months after his release from jail, built with the producers defining contemporary Los Angeles street rap: RonRonTheProducer, Thank You Fizzle and LowTheGreat. Drake appears on 'Talk to Me' and Don Toliver guests elsewhere, the clearest mainstream embrace of Drakeo's idiosyncratic slang and deadpan. Apple Music's editors framed the album as proof that he needed almost nothing beyond that voice to command a record.
