Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a brief hiatus, the veteran alt-country rockers return with a wonderfully revitalized, highly melodic tenth studio album. 'English Oceans' highlights a renewed, perfectly balanced songwriting partnership between Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley, leaning heavily into their signature, deeply literate Southern folklore. The record provides a profoundly melancholic, beautifully bittersweet, and remarkably anthemic collection of modern country rock.
