Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to broaden his audience beyond the fading instrumental rock and roll craze, Duane Eddy recorded 'Twangy Guitar, Silky Strings' upon moving to RCA Victor. The album juxtaposes his signature, reverb-drenched low-string picking with highly subdued, cinematic string orchestrations. It represents a clear shift from his aggressive early hits towards a more mature, easy-listening soundscape.
