Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Toronto-based duo distills the jangly, guitar-driven essence of 1980s indie pop into a bright, remarkably concise debut album. 'Modern Fiction' employs driving drum machine rhythms and pristine, chorus-drenched guitar lines to mask inherently anxious, socially critical lyricism. The record functions as an incredibly catchy, high-energy homage to the classic C86 aesthetic.
