Album Notes & Community Reviews
Conceived explicitly as a highly personal tribute to their foundational influences, 'Thank You' finds the new wave icons attempting a highly ambitious collection of cover songs. Ranging drastically in source material from Public Enemy to Lou Reed, the album's wildly eclectic stylistic choices proved immensely polarizing among critics and long-time fans. It marks a fascinatingly strange, heavily discussed detour in their extensive discography.
