Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving slightly away from the gritty, raw aesthetic of their early retro-soul recordings, the American ensemble embraced an incredibly polished, string-laden 1970s Philly soul sound. Co-lead vocalists Durand Jones and Aaron Frazer trade incredibly smooth performances over infectious, disco-infused grooves and lush orchestrations. It stands as a brilliant, remarkably joyful celebration of classic R&B crafted to act as a comforting balm during pandemic uncertainty.
