Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the surprise success of their instrumental hit 'Jig-A-Jig', East of Eden pivoted sharply on 'New Leaf', abandoning their complex jazz-fusion roots for a more accessible country-rock sound. The album incorporates fiddles, pedal steel, and straightforward songwriting that baffled their original progressive fanbase. This dramatic stylistic shift marked a highly controversial turning point in the band's discography.
