Album Notes & Community Reviews

For his sophomore solo outing since leaving The Temptations, the legendary falsetto vocalist fully embraced the expansive, socially conscious progressive soul movement. Featuring sprawling, polyrhythmic masterworks like the epic 'Girl You Need a Change of Mind', the album directly anticipated the elongated grooves of disco music. It is a triumphant, dancefloor-ready document that proved Kendricks was an immense creative force in his own right.
