Album Notes & Community Reviews

Eels' debut album, 'Beautiful Freak', introduces a highly pessimistic, depressive brand of alternative rock and melodic indie pop. Mark Oliver Everett pairs deeply melancholic, introspective lyricism centered on urban alienation with unique trip-hop beats and bittersweet chamber pop melodies.
