Album Notes & Community Reviews

Breaking a four-year musical silence, Mark Oliver Everett returns with an incredibly lush, orchestrally driven meditation on profound personal upheaval. Exploring his recent marriage, divorce, and the birth of his son, the deeply melancholic record utilizes sweeping strings, acoustic guitars, and his signature gravelly, world-weary vocals. It serves as a beautiful, highly emotional late-career reflection on breaking down and starting over.
