Piramida

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deeply conceptual in its creation, the Danish trio's fourth album was born from a lengthy expedition to Pyramiden, an abandoned Russian coal-mining settlement situated deep in the Arctic Circle. The group painstakingly collected thousands of acoustic field recordings from the decaying town, manipulating them to form the foundational rhythms and textures of the record. The resulting work is a staggeringly beautiful, icy masterclass in modern chamber-pop and atmospheric orchestration.
