Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as a double LP, 'Sanfona' divides its focus between Egberto Gismonti's intricate solo improvisations and expansive group performances with his ensemble, Academia de Dan莽as. The work is a masterclass in synthesizing Brazilian regional folk rhythms with rigorous, classically informed acoustic jazz structures.
