Album Notes & Community Reviews
Dedicated to the Xingu indigenous peoples of the Amazon, 'Sol do meio dia' beautifully integrates deep Brazilian rainforest atmospheres with rigorous chamber jazz improvisation. Gismonti's intricate multi-string guitar work is perfectly complemented by contributions from Ralph Towner, Collin Walcott, and Jan Garbarek.
