Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded live in the empty Theatre Royal in Brighton during the latter stages of the pandemic, the veteran rock outfit delivers a remarkably subdued, tender chamber pop collection. Guy Garvey's lyricism focuses intensely on romantic domesticity, memory, and profound gratitude, supported by delicate piano and restrained orchestration. 'Flying Dream 1' trades the band's traditional arena-sized anthems for an intensely intimate, nocturnal atmosphere.
