Album Notes & Community Reviews

Hungarian Romani guitarist Elek Bacsik, heavily praised by Dizzy Gillespie, steps into the spotlight for this phenomenal European jazz session. 'Guitar Conceptions' showcases his blindingly fast, highly sophisticated bebop technique alongside a delicate, lyrical approach to ballads. It is a wildly impressive, historically significant release from one of the continent's most fiercely talented, albeit under-recorded, jazz musicians.
