Album Notes & Community Reviews

Making the incredibly rare leap from an independent to a major label without compromising their noisy underground sound, the Chicago quartet delivered a stunning sophomore effort. 'Beet' heavily features the fiercely frantic, Crazy Horse-inspired twin guitar attack of Rick Rizzo and Baird Figi. The intensely raw, live-in-the-studio energy of the recording makes it a towering achievement of late-80s Midwestern indie rock.
