Album Notes & Community Reviews

Derived from her wildly successful theatrical show of the same name, this studio project captures the unparalleled emotional depth of Brazil's preeminent vocalist. The incredibly diverse arrangements incorporate elements of fiery blues-rock and sweeping Latin American folk traditions, providing a dynamic backdrop for her unparalleled delivery. The hit 'Como Nossos Pais' emerged as a definitive, bittersweet anthem for the generation suffering under the Brazilian military dictatorship.
