Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping away from her upbeat swing recordings, the vocalist collaborates with arranger Frank DeVol for a deeply romantic collection of sweeping ballads. The lush, string-heavy production deliberately showcases her impeccable breath control, pitch, and velvety tone over her improvisational scatting abilities. The album remains a gorgeously constructed, soothing masterclass in classic pop interpretation.
