Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his cult-favorite career as a sharp, literate rock troubadour, Murphy delivered a highly melodic, energetic set imbued with distinct urban romanticism. 'Murph the Surf' pairs his Dylan-esque vocal delivery and cynical wit with punchy, radio-ready heartland rock arrangements. While evading massive commercial stardom, the record further solidified his reputation as a "songwriter's songwriter" among dedicated rock critics.
