Evocation I - The Arcane Dominion

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking a radical departure from their signature melodic death metal sound, the Swiss folk-metal pioneers present an entirely acoustic, historically focused release. Singing predominantly in the reconstructed Gaulish language, the ensemble utilizes hurdy-gurdys, flutes, and mandolins to craft deeply authentic Celtic folk music. The atmospheric, largely unplugged project highlights the deep traditional roots underlying their heavier main discography.
