Album Notes & Community Reviews
Constructed as a loose concept album revolving around the figure of Death, 'The Scythe' sees the Italian power metal band adopting heavier, more aggressive musical textures. The arrangements occasionally incorporate abrasive metalcore elements into their established, folk-tinged European metal sound. The resulting record is an energetic, eclectic dive into dark folklore and fairy tale concepts.
