Album Notes & Community Reviews

This co-led session between two of the most formidable rhythm section players in jazz history is a towering, muscular display of post-bop interaction. Augmented by the blistering saxophone of Frank Foster, the incredibly telepathic interplay between the polyrhythmic drummer and the immensely powerful bassist defines the sheer force of the recording.
