Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by George Butler, the legendary drummer assembled an expansive, multi-generational ensemble for this incredibly powerful, spiritually inclined post-bop session. Featuring prominent contributions from saxophonist Dave Liebman and peppered with highly dense, polyrhythmic percussion, the record effortlessly bridges the intensity of John Coltrane's classic quartet with modern, slightly avant-garde sensibilities. It remains a towering, highly respected highlight of his extensive solo catalog.
