Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in just three days in Nashville with legendary producer T Bone Burnett, this acoustic album finds the iconic British songwriter fully embracing American roots music. Utilizing an entirely string-based ensemble featuring fiddles, mandolins, and double bass, the tracks possess a distinct bluegrass flavor while retaining Costello's signature literate, biting lyricism. It was highly praised as a remarkably organic, energized late-career highlight.
